Ireen Dubel (1956) is standing at a new crossroad after more than thirty years of professional work experience in the field of Gender, Women & Development. After her student and staff days at the ISS, Ireen has worked most of her life for the Dutch development agency Hivos. She build up Hivos reputation as a daring, committed and reliable donor and partner in the field of women’s rights and gender equality. She continues to be actively engaged in feminist politics by linking social movements, action-research, development policies and practices.
